Did anyone else’s reader format change? Also, now I’m getting pop-up “help” when writing my posts? WTH happened?

Yeah mid post – I thought I’d pressed something by mistake. Embrace the change – it’s going to happen anyway so you may as well enjoy it!

Overall I like the change. I don’t get the pop ups, but that may be because I self host. One thing I don’t like is that it suggests posts on other people’s blogs. I am more than happy to promote other peoples blogs, but I want it to be of my own choosing.

I just don’t like the new layout of the reader in my browser. It’s too cramped.

It seems that some of the defaults have changed. I can’t directly access reader and I have to fight with the program to give me the older editing screen. For some reason WordPress thinks that the new edit screen that looks like a virtual memo pad is superior to the one that gives you easy to understand options and a wider page. I do wish that tech companies would understand that programmers are not like the end users who don’t need or want to tweak everything to death.

I totally agree with everything you said. I hate the “new” editor, I hate that I can’t get to the new reader directly anymore…and I hate the way the new reader looks. It’s so squashed I find it difficult to tell which post is which. 😦
